Little Bow – Tutorial

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all had a lovely day filled with delicious food and quality family time!

Here’s a quick post and tutorial that I wanted to do after I posted the “Gifts/presents” post for the Christmas with FLP challenge.

This is what the end result looks like:

That’s all from me for today. Short and sweet.

Wishing you all a happy New Year!

Day 16 – Inspired by a song

Ok.. I’ve been struggling to keep up with these posts – AND it’s the most difficult section of topics. I decided to do Jingle Bells (I know that Polish Alcoholic did the same topic, and did an awesome job, which I was horrified to see, I’ve been terrified of going up against such a great blog in this challenge with the same topic) but I thought about it for ages and I couldn’t think of anything else. I figured it’s better to get it done than nothing at all.

I used a Skin Food mustard colour and a Face Shop yellow. I also used a Sally Hansen “White On”. I popped on a bow sticker for good measure too.

I promise that I will be more creative soon (tomorrow is the last day of work). I will be more creative and put some more time into this challenge for the future.. but for now.. here it is:

Day 14 – Glitter

Here is yesterday’s post – I fell asleep before posting it last night. I found a very pretty micro glitter from Skin Food and some cute bow stickers. Simple and it looks nice ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope you like it!

Day 11 – Gifts

Today’s topic was “gifts”. I did one mani for this, and I hated it. So I removed it and started again. I much prefer this one ๐Ÿ™‚

I wanted something simple, but cute, and I like how this one has turned out! I’m going through a bow phase, so yet again, there’s a bow in this mani.

I decided at the end to add a little gift tag in brown and I wanted to write something on it. The only thing that would fit was “to”. My boyfriend was teasing me a lot today saying “What does ‘to’ mean? You should have written something more awesome!”ย  I replied: “Well, firstly I was going for the ‘to’ and ‘from’ thing that you usually write on gift tags. Secondly, YOU try writing in tiny letters in nail polish on a nail!”. Sheesh, men! They just don’t get it. It’s not as easy as it looks! ๐Ÿ™‚

So here it is..ย  ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope you like it!

I really want to share links to the other bloggers doing this challenge. But I haven’t figured out that other website yet (if anyone can show me how to add my link to that group, I would really appreciate it). So I’ll just do it old-fashioned style ๐Ÿ™‚

Day 6 – White

The theme for Day 6 is “White”. I found it a bit hard because I didn’t know how to make white exciting. So I decided to do a “lace”-inspired manicure. I used some inspiration from Google – Here is the blog I used for inspiration. She used mainly stamps, and because of my mental block against stamping, I decided to do it purely by hand.

I used a purple The Face Shop for an undercoat and I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear “White On” for the finer work. I used a dotting tool and a nail art paint brush. Also, I added some jewels, just for the bling factor. I don’t think it’s really true to the theme of the day because the white is quite minimal.. but I love it!

Not to ramble on.. so, here it is. What do you think?

My friend’s mani

Today I spent an extremely relaxed day at my friend’s house in Seoul, Korea. I’m coming down with flu, so we stayed indoors and ate nice food. I did my friend’s nails… ๐Ÿ™‚

I used a pink Modi (Korean brand from Aritaum), Sally Hansen Xtream Wear “White On”, Sally Hansen Xtream Wear “Flirt”, black nail art pen and silver nail art jewels. What do you think? I hope you like it ๐Ÿ™‚ – More importantly, I hope my friend likes it, because it’s on her nails right now ๐Ÿ™‚

I love my toes

Here’s a quick Sunday night post about my pedicure (please excuse the chubby feet, let’s just say I could never be a foot model). I don’t often do my toes, so I wanted to so something awesome and striking. I found a great tutorial on “bow and stripes” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CesllaZ6WV8. I did it almost exactly the same, except I used tape for the stripes (safer than freehand). I really love the result! Also, it’s my first O.P.I experience, so I had a lot of fun!

I used O.P.I “Wooden shoe like to know?”, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear “White on”, Organic Farm pink and an O.P.I top coat.

Don’t worry, I won’t have lots of feet pics on this blog. I hope you like the pedi. What do you think?
