Burnt pink stamping manicure

This is one from the archives 🙂 Its a relatively simple manicure, but I decided to spice it up with a Holika Holika matte top coat. I also added the french tip gloss top coat for contrast. I used a Konad silver stamping polish and the m67 stamping plate.

To be honest, I’m not crazy about this colour (and just as well because I couldn’t tell you what it’s called because it’s all in Korean). It’s a burnt pink colour from Missha. I really liked it in the bottle, but the more I saw it on my nails the more it reminded me of a granny manicure. I love the pics though, so I had to share it. Maybe you will like it, what do you think?

Floral Stamping

Can you believe it, this is my first stamping post! I’ve had a phobia of stamping, and I finally plucked up the courage to attempt a stamping manicure to share 🙂

I used Konad stamping plate number m71 (you can see it in one of the pics). For the undercoats I used two different Missha blues (they don’t have names, hence the lack of info). Then, I topped it all off with a Shimmer Topcoat (It’s in Korean – “Shwimmer Topcoat” in the picture if you can read Korean) from the Face Shop which I just bought today.

It doesn’t look like much, but it took me AGES to do. I stamped the one nail and then painted a topcoat and it smudged. So I had to start that whole nail again! Arg! But despite the frustrations, I really like it! I hope you all like it too 🙂

I absolutely love this topcoat, its so subtle, but it’s such a pretty shimmer. I think it will look nice with lots of different polishes. Yay! I love a good polish purchase 🙂 And it was only about $3 🙂

Day 1 & 2 – Advent Challenge :)

I found out today (yes, I’m a little late) that there is an awesome Advent Calendar Challenge starting at the beginning of December. Mommy Loves Nail Polish and Nail Polish Galore among other blogs are also participating. I’ve been wanting to start a challenge or do something that will push me to try new things and be more creative with my designs. But I must say, I’m a bit scared! 🙂
Due to the fact that I’m a bit late to jump on board, I’ve decided to combine my first and second days.

So Day 1: Red

I used a beige by Missha (Korean brand) and glitter red by Skin Food

Day 2: Gold

I used a really dark purple (that looks like black) by The Face Shop, Konad gold and a random gold glitter (called Castle Dew, it’s got greens and reds in too, very Christmasy).

Ombre with a twist

This is one from the archives. I did it a couple of days ago when I was playing around with ombre nails. I attempted to do four colours (overly ambitious, I know). I wanted an earth toned mani, so I did black, dark brown, beige and white. It turned out well, I think 🙂 However, I messed up one of the nails at the cuticle, so I added the black pattern and the jewel to cover it up. All in all, I like this mani, I hope you do too 🙂

I used: Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear “Black out”, a dark brown by Skin Food (Korean brand), a beige by Missha (Korean brand) and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear “White on”.
