Hand Painted Cherry Blossoms

I got a little bit carried away tonight, but I love the result. I was looking for something to spice up a french manicure (my favourite type of mani) and I decided to tackle the cherry blossom again. I can’t hold it in anymore, I’ve just got to show you:

I’ve tried it once in a very simplistic style, this time I did a bigger version. Here are some of the pics that I used as inspiration for the design:

I basically just used a small brush and used pink, white (Konad), purple, a tiny bit of yellow and a deep purple (The Face Shop). I started with french tips, painted the branches and added the flowers layer by layer.

I really like the result, what do you think?

Weekend away party nails :)

So, I’m going to the beach this weekend 🙂 We’re leaving tonight.. So I thought I would do something fun with my nails seeing as I can’t change them until Monday! It’s going to be very hard for a nail addict not to be able to change my nails..

Again, most of the polishes I used are only found in Korea. I used Missha, Skin Food, Aritaum and a Holika Holika matte top coat (ring finger) nail polishes. I also used scotch tape (for the middle finger, which I messed up a little) and nail tape for the pinky. What do you think?  I hope you like it 🙂

Here are some of the polishes I used. I used a matte top coat to create the french manicure effect on my ring finger.

Snow Leopard… grrrr!

Snow leopard polishes

Here are some of the things I used for this design.

So… I got new winter pants to relax around the house in. They are AMAZING white leopard print, I call them my “snow leopard” pants. So this mani was inspired by my new beautiful pants.

I used a silver nail art two way pen and brush (shown). It’s not really necessary, you could just use silver and a dotting tool for the leopard print. But the silver brush comes in handy for the silver stripe on the french mani. I used a Konad white (shown) and an Organic Farm grey (not shown).

Snow Leopard Mani

Here’s the final mani 🙂

This is the final result. Snow Leopard inspired mani with grey and silver french manicure. Check. 🙂

I recycled a french mani to make it more elegant and beautiful. I just added a gold stripe. I also added two accent nails, using a nail art brush..I got the idea for the accent nails from a Youtube video tutorial. I was very happy with this one. It stayed on my hands for about three of four days (which we all know is long if you have a nail art addiction). I hope you like it 🙂
