And all that I can see…

Our new apartment has a beautiful lemon tree hanging over our balcony. I just couldn’t resist doing a lemon manicure! I mean, all you nail artists out there would have done the same, right?

So I did a very simple lemon-style manicure. I started with a white undercoat. I used a dotting tool to make some circular/oval yellow shapes. I then used a nail art brush to paint on some cute lime green leaves. Topped off with some brown dots and lines to give more detail. What do you think?

Now that I’m settled in (well, two out of three suitcases are unpacked), I’m going to try be more active with my posts. I’m looking forward to doing some awesome, creative manicures and tutorials in the near future! – I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend!

Day 9 – Pine

Today’s theme was pine. I wanted to do something a bit abstract. I was going to do a pine needle confetti, but I couldn’t figure out how to pull it off. So, I decided to do individual pine stems 🙂

I used Sally Hansen “White On” for the undercoat, then I used a paint brush to paint on a dark green and light green pine stick. The olive green is a Modi and the light green was a Face Shop polish.

So.. that’s all. Here’s the mani 🙂 I hope you like it!

Day 7 – Ornaments

Sorry for the late post, it’s been a busy weekend! I did these nails a day or two ago, but I haven’t had time to post them yet.

I really struggled with this topic. Eventually, I just Googled it and used a picture for inspiration. I used tons of different random polishes, too many to list. I hope you like it! Here’s the final product 🙂

Day 3 – Green

The challenge for Day 3 is green. I tried to make it a bit Christmassy by adding some dark green glitter. I’m not sure that I really like it though. But.. Day 3 – check!

I used The Face Shop random green (in the picture) and Skin Food navy blue and some green glitter.

Here’s my manicure 🙂 I hope you like it more than I do 🙂

“Wooden Shoe Like to Know” and Green Glitter

I know I’ve posted a lot today, but I just want to do a quick post with a mani 🙂

This is OPI “Wooden Shoe Like to Know” with a Modi green milky glitter polish on top. Topped off with an OPI top coat.

To be honest, I prefer this milky glitter on a lighter under coat, but I kind of like how this turned out. What do you think?

Autumn colours :)

All around Seoul at the moment are the most beautiful autumn trees. The bright yellows are such a beautiful colour. This is the road outside the school where I work.

The whole time I was away I couldn’t wait to get home and do a fall manicure. So.. here is my attempt 🙂

Image

I used a nail art brush to make little leaves. I tried to make it subtle and used lots of different colours to give it depth. However, I wasn’t crazy about the end result. I used Skin Food, Konad and Holika Holika (Korean brands). Here are the polishes I used.

I’m happy I tried it out, but it’s not my favourite mani. I can’t wait to keep trying new things 🙂 What do you think?

Rave Stripes

Retro Stripes

Rave/Retro stripes

I did this the night my nail tape arrived in the mail. I did a base coat of pink and one green accent. I waited for these to dry completely, then I put tape across and painted over with black. I then added one silver tape stripe. Ended it off with a top coat. Presto! Easier said than done though… this tape is so tiny and delicate!
