LA Girl Sand Blast – Glissand

For those of you living in South Africa, the LA Girl brand is one of the few foreign polishes that are easy to find and reasonably priced. They retail for aboyt R35-R40 at Dischem.

I’ve bought a bottle or two (some were not so great), but I must say, I’m really impressed by this one! It’s the new Sand finish and it’s really impressed me. It has a beautiful, subtle glitter shimmer as well as that awesome sand texture. The colour is also absolutely stunning, it’s a deep peach which looks awesome on most skin tones. I bought the Glissand (GNL 164).

Going Dotty..

I bought a new blanket for winter, I’ve been staring at the dotty design and I went a bit loopy. So, I decided to try something different and colourful. I love dotting tools because you can honestly do anything with them. This design is really bright, and surprisingly simple to do. You could even experiment with different base coats, sizes of dots and different colour combinations. What do you think? Crazy or cute?

Autumn colours :)

All around Seoul at the moment are the most beautiful autumn trees. The bright yellows are such a beautiful colour. This is the road outside the school where I work.

The whole time I was away I couldn’t wait to get home and do a fall manicure. So.. here is my attempt 🙂

I used a nail art brush to make little leaves. I tried to make it subtle and used lots of different colours to give it depth. However, I wasn’t crazy about the end result. I used Skin Food, Konad and Holika Holika (Korean brands). Here are the polishes I used.

I’m happy I tried it out, but it’s not my favourite mani. I can’t wait to keep trying new things 🙂 What do you think?
