Polka dot and lace

I know this is off-topic (I am supposed to be posting a Halloween mani today), but I didn’t get a chance to do my Halloween mani last night. I’ll try do it asap πŸ™‚

In the meantime, here is a fun little mani I did this week. I wore it to work, so it couldn’t be too outrageous. I used Tip Top Solar Flare for the base and Tip Top Cream Puff for the polka dots. I also added some lace stickers that I had lying around from Korea.

I really like it.. Hope you do too! πŸ™‚

Day 20 – Sweets & Candy

I am officially back up-to-date with my posts! Yay! And, I’m really happy with the way this manicure turned out πŸ™‚

I tried to make it look like typical candy cane stripes and two nails with hundreds and thousand looking dots. I think it looks really cute πŸ™‚

Day 6 – White

The theme for Day 6 is “White”. I found it a bit hard because I didn’t know how to make white exciting. So I decided to do a “lace”-inspired manicure. I used some inspiration from Google – Here is the blog I used for inspiration. She used mainly stamps, and because of my mental block against stamping, I decided to do it purely by hand.

I used a purple The Face Shop for an undercoat and I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear “White On” for the finer work. I used a dotting tool and a nail art paint brush. Also, I added some jewels, just for the bling factor. I don’t think it’s really true to the theme of the day because the white is quite minimal.. but I love it!

Not to ramble on.. so, here it is. What do you think?

Day 4 – Silver

I must confess.. I don’t have just a plain silver polish (gasp), I know. Embarrassing. I haven’t had time or money to buy a silver polish, so I decided to just make a plan.

My plan: Pink undercoat, silver decorations. I think it worked out quite well (if I do say so myself). This is one of my fave manicures so far πŸ™‚ yay!

All I used was a Modi (Korean brand which is super cheap and so far has been great) burnt pink with a gold shimmer,Β  a silver two-way nail art pen/brush, and a few silver jewels.

So, this is my silver attempt. Although it doesn’t look very silvery in the pictures, in the light the silver really shines, it is quite pretty πŸ™‚ I hope you like it as much as I do…

Polka Dot Fun

Polka Dot nails

Fun pink, blue and purple polka

These are nails I did a while ago because I wanted something easy and quick. I just chose four colours that went together nicely (you could do different shades of the same colour). I did one white nail as an accent. I got this idea from the internet where they did dots on all the nails, but I get too dizzy if I do that. So I just chose two accents. The trick to making them look fun and whimsical is doing different size dots. I just used different dotting sticks for this. All in all, it was quick and easy. I had fun!
