Day 22 – Fruit Cake

I decided to use fruit cake colours and do a more abstract manicure 🙂

I always remember having fruit cake on Christmas. It was a big deal in my family, my grandma used to make tons of Christmas puddings (that have all the fruit, cherries, raisins, etc in). The recipe was passed down from my great-grandmother who apparently stole a recipe for fruit cake from the nuns. I’m not sure how true this whole story is, but it was always a big part of our Christmas.

I did a very simple, abstract design 🙂 I hope you like it!

Day 21 – Water Marble

The day that I’ve been most nervous about – Water Marble. It didn’t turn out TOO bad.. let’s put it this way, there is one nail that I really like. The rest are… meh.

I used a glitter (Skin Food) and a Face Shop dark purple. Nothing much else to say. I’m not a pro and it’s not that great, but it’s done 🙂 I do want to practice this technique and learn how to do it nicely 🙂

Day 16 – Inspired by a song

Ok.. I’ve been struggling to keep up with these posts – AND it’s the most difficult section of topics. I decided to do Jingle Bells (I know that Polish Alcoholic did the same topic, and did an awesome job, which I was horrified to see, I’ve been terrified of going up against such a great blog in this challenge with the same topic) but I thought about it for ages and I couldn’t think of anything else. I figured it’s better to get it done than nothing at all.

I used a Skin Food mustard colour and a Face Shop yellow. I also used a Sally Hansen “White On”. I popped on a bow sticker for good measure too.

I promise that I will be more creative soon (tomorrow is the last day of work). I will be more creative and put some more time into this challenge for the future.. but for now.. here it is:

Day 15 – Something Cozy

What’s more cozy than a quilted blanket??? – No, there’s no punchline, that’s it. That’s my manicure for the day 🙂

I used a very helpful tutorial, you can find it on PolishAholic here.

I used a Modi light pink and a Skin Food glitter (In the photos). I really like how it turned out. What do you think?

Day 14 – Glitter

Here is yesterday’s post – I fell asleep before posting it last night. I found a very pretty micro glitter from Skin Food and some cute bow stickers. Simple and it looks nice 🙂 I hope you like it!

Day 12 – Family

Officially the most challenging topic! I thought about it a lot – portraits, figures, family tree, names.. but I have 8 siblings! I just couldn’t decide what to do.

I finally settled on Christmas stockings. I did them in all different sizes and colours to try show different members in a family…still a bit random. Oh well. Here’s the mani 🙂 I hope you like… 🙂

Day 8 – Starry Night

Here is yesterday’s post 🙂 I really liked this topic and I like how it turned out.

Because it was glitter, I used a Modi Peel Off Base Coat which makes it really easy to remove. It peels off so easily! It really beats trying to remove it with nail polish remover. My friend, Nailart for Funn did a Modi Peel Off Base Coat review, you can read it here.

After the base coat, I used a Skin Food purple undercoat, followed by a Modi glitter polish (in the picture). I love this Modi polish because it has purple, blue and gold/bronze glitter in it. It’s a really interesting combination! Then I used a nail art brush and Sally Hansen “White On” to paint a star shape. In the middle of the white star I stuck a star-shaped nail art jewel.

So, here’s the mani. What do you think?
